Meet Lacie

The heart, hands, and flour-dusted apron behind every single treat that leaves this kitchen.

Baker working with sourdough in a cozy kitchen

From Kitchen Dreams to Community Love

My journey started in my grandmother's kitchen in small-town East Texas, where I learned that baking isn't just about following recipes—it's about putting love into every single step. The way she'd measure flour by feel, taste the batter with a knowing smile, and somehow always know exactly when the cookies were ready.

After years of bringing treats to potlucks and having neighbors constantly ask "Where did you get this?", I realized maybe this little dream of mine could be something more. Something that brings people together and adds a little sweetness to our everyday lives.

The honor system? That came naturally. In a world that sometimes feels divided, I wanted to create something built on trust. A simple wooden box where neighbors can take what they need and leave what feels right. It's old-fashioned values meeting modern convenience, and somehow it just works beautifully.

What Drives Me Every Morning

Quality Over Quantity

I'd rather make 50 perfect cookies than 500 okay ones. Every batch gets my full attention.

Community Connection

Food brings people together. A cookie shared is a friendship started.

Honest Ingredients

Real butter, organic flour, free-range eggs. If I wouldn't feed it to my family, I won't sell it to yours.

Trust & Kindness

The honor system works because we choose to see the good in each other.

My Daily Rhythm

5am

Start the coffee, check on my sourdough starter (her name is Dolly), and plan the day's bakes.

6am

First batch of cookies in the oven. The house starts smelling like heaven.

8am

Honor box gets restocked with the morning's fresh treats.

All day

Baking, testing new recipes, and watching neighbors discover their new favorite treats.

A Little More About Me

When I'm Not Baking

You'll find me in the garden growing herbs for my recipes, reading cookbooks like novels, or exploring Dallas's farmers markets for inspiration.

My Helpers

Murphy, my golden retriever, is the official taste tester (for dog-safe treats, of course), and my sourdough starter Dolly has been with me for three years.

Favorite Thing

Those moments when a regular customer becomes a friend, and we end up chatting on the porch about life while sharing a warm cookie.

"Every morning when I start baking, I think about who might need a little sweetness in their day. Maybe it's the busy mom grabbing cookies for her kids, or the neighbor who's been working late. This isn't just a business—it's my way of taking care of our little corner of the world."
